Today’s company dates back to the early eighties. Since 2001 it has been called mo2. As pioneers in the field of lighting design we have been an established authority in our line of business ever since. Using and developing the most advanced and most innovative video control engineering have been our constant companions.

1980

Manfred “Ollie” Olma is the first professional rigger to found a company. He sets up “Stage Rigging Hamburg gbr”. During the following years he designs stages and lighting for the Scorpions, Led Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Tina Turner, Prince, Westernhagen, Lindenberg, Maffay, and many more…

1982

Job expansion: specializes in lighting, design, projection and camera.

1991

Foundation of “Medien Service Hamburg GmbH” (MSH).

1999

1999 “Lilly” – Sony Media Award for lighting design and camera (boxing match Schulz vs. Klitschko)

2001

Refocusing and new markets: name changes to mo2 design GmbH (Ltd.).

2007

Opening of branch in Köln-Ossendorf. Expansion of operations (as well as range of services – straight-through processing of projects).

2009

New branch of mo2 design in Abu Dabi – the Hamburg branch is closed.
